10 Things God Doesn’t Know
Romans 8:28-31


There are many things I don't know, such as: 

Why we keep having senseless shootings.

Why a child would ever get a terminal disease.

What happened to Hannah Montana?

Why hot dogs come in 10 packs and buns in 8.

Who wrote Hebrews?

I don't know these things, but God does.  On the other hand, there's a lot of things I know, that God doesn't...

One of the attributes or characteristics of God is omniscience, He is all knowing. God knows everything. This evening though, I’ve entitled my sermon, “Things God Doesn’t Know.”  Because there's some things He has chosen not to know...

God Doesn’t Know…

I. …A Sinner He Doesn’t Love

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rom. 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

II. God Doesn’t Know …A Sin That He Doesn’t Hate

1. He hated Adam’s sin [had to kick him out of the garden!…“that’s where your mother ate us out of house and home!]  Know why God didn’t create woman first?  He didn’t want any advice on how to make the man!
2. He hated David’s sin [tho’ after His own heart!]

…and yours and mine!

III. God Doesn’t Know …Any Way Of Salvation Except The Way Of The Cross

1. It had to be the right Person - Jesus 
2. It had to be the right Death
        a. The just for the unjust
        b. He was the sin bearer
        c. He was the “Lamb of God”
3. Jesus is the Name whereby we must be saved
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

IV. God Doesn’t Know …Any Better Time To Be Saved Than Today

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

II. Cor. 6:2 …now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

V.             …A church He won’t bless…if it’s His!

1 Peter 5:3

    Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

John 10:11

    I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Isaiah 43:4

    Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Psalm 46:5

    God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Jeremiah 3:15

    And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Ephes. 4:11-12

    And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Matthew 16:18

    And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

6. …A life He won’t change…

2 Cor. 5:17

    Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

             “any” man be in Christ…fields are white unto harvest!

7. …An obstacle He cannot overcome…

John 16:33

    These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

1 John 2:13-14

    I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. [14] I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

1 John 4:4

Rev. 17:14

VIII.   …A bill He can’t pay…when we do right by the 90 and the 10!

Philip. 4:19

    But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.                    the check is in the mail!

Malachi 3:7-11

    Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

9. …A being He did not create…[Eve, mother of all living, no aliens]

Genesis 2:1

    Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Neh. 9:6

    Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

10. …A believer He can’t use…[No 'but what if I...']
